This competition aims to recognize the potentials of STI students to excel in the field of computer and its applications through solving of machine problems given a limited time. Competing teams who are into programming are given a special treat of masterful applications that they will decipher and exhibit how good they are in the field of programming. The contest fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation in programming and enables students to test their ability to perform under pressure and will give them the experience and preparation for national and international competitions.
The competition is designed to provide STI students the opportunity to enhance their communication skills while at the same time inspiring them to motivate and inform others through the art of public speaking. It provides them the opportunity to express their views on several topics and other issues through a prepared speech.
The competition is designed to showcase the students’ ability to speak on a given topic with spontaneity and sensibility given a limited time for preparation. STI’ers are surely put to the test as they come up with exemplary stories that shows their craft in extemporaneous speeches in a contest that measures a person’s preparation in being unprepared.
STI’ers are tasked to create a set of dynamic linked web pages whose information features can be fully demonstrated in 10 minutes.  For this year’s competition, students are required to develop a website of Philippine tourist destination/scenic spots in their own locality.  Incorporated information may be available in any format including text, audio, video and online links.
Grand Masters is a quiz competition participated by teams of students with exemplary knowledge on various disciplines and their applications.  It is an event to watch as students are expected to display their ingenuity, analytical ability and knowledge prowess.

Everyone will join in the tempo, everyone would be stomping their feet to the beat of the rhythm on the dance floor as competing groups of STI dancers try to outdo one another in the “Hataw Sayaw Dance Competition!  Groups with four to six members will hit the carpet to the tune of lively music for them to prove that they have the moves to be the winner of the Grand Slam Grooves.
STI Students will display their individual talents & vocal prowess as they challenge one another in the Solo Jam Singing Competition.  Charming divas & concert Princes of STI showcase their sweet voices to the delight of both the ears & hearts of the audience in a veritable cloud of musical styles.  At this time of the year, the great singing talents of STI are at their peak.
Neophyte musicians line up & strike the right beat as the Rockin’ Rookies take center stage for the STI Battle of the Bands. Different eras are sure to come out as the rock & roll of the 50’s and the hyper beat of the new millennium are combined to rock Aliw theater for rock star wannabes.

**Each school is allowed to send ONE (1) entry for the World Web Warriors (WWW) competition. Entries of all (joining) schools automatically vie for the national competition.

GUIDELINES FOR THE REGIONAL COMPETITION
  • The contestants are expected to be at the competition site on the competition dates at exactly 7:30 a.m. The contest proper starts at exactly 8:00 a.m.
  • Grand Masters and Most Valuable Programmers (MVP) shall be conducted simultaneously in all clusters.
  • Grand Masters starts at exactly 8:00 am.
  • Most Valuable Programmers (MVP) starts at 1:00 pm.
  • Orator’s Cup and Ultimate Speech Champions competitions run simultaneously with the Grand Masters or Most Valuable Programmers depending on the agreement of the member schools per cluster.
